General Eligibility to Become a Refrigeration Plant Operator
As stated on the technicalsafetybc.com website, there are specific requirements for eligibility to become a refrigeration plan operator. This includes one of the following:
- Refrigeration mechanic credential issued under the Industry Training Authority Act (qualifying time not required)
- Proof of successful completion of an approved refrigeration operator course
- Proof of having an equivalent technical educational background that has been approved by a provincial safety manager

Ready to get started? Our 3-week Refrigeration Plant Operator course runs from October 17 – November 4, 2022, after which time you will be ready to write the Technical Safety BC exam as stated above.
