Power engineers maintain, operate and manage both industrial and commercial plants that use boiler and refrigeration equipment. Only certified Power Engineers are permitted to operate such equipment across all Canadian provinces and territories. Course Description

The 4th Class Power Engineer (Part B) Program provides the technical knowledge and skills needed by individuals wanting to enter into the field of power engineering. Upon successful completion of the program, students are prepared to write the Technical Safety BC examination for an interprovincial 4th Class Power Engineer (Part B). This is the Second of two exams towards the 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate.

The Program

This program is taught in a “classroom style” environment. It consists of demonstrations, lectures, visual presentations and exercises that help to enhance the material covered in the course. This is all presented in an easy going manner with many open discussions as it is intended to teach persons with little or no experience.

Course Duration

The TFM Consultants International’s 4th Class Power Engineering (Part B) Program is a 160 hour program accredited through the Technical Safety BC, spread over the course of 4 weeks. Students will be required to complete some homework assignments and allow for additional studying outside of class.

Program Fees

The cost for TFM Consultants International’s 4th Class Power Engineering (Part B) Program is $3795.95. This includes all program material needed, text books and taxes.

    Dates: November 17, 2025 to December 12, 2025, Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
    Fees: $3,795.95 per person (includes taxes)
    Location: TFM Training Centre - Unit 206 20167 96 Ave Langley, BC
    Instructor: Mike Garcia and Lou Roussinos
    Notes: Taxes included. Textbooks are loaned to students. A $500 deposit is required upon pickup or shipment of the books. The deposit will be refunded upon the return of the books. Shipping of textbooks is not included. Note: Only 15 students are excepted.
