Hands-On Lab Experience

It’s beneficial to have hands-on experience in order to gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed as a power engineer. This experience can be obtained through our Work Experience Program. In each lab, you will learn the processes for boilers, refrigeration systems, compressors, steam turbines, and more.

Logbook And Documentation Skills

Excellence in power engineering is about experience and accountability. Each system has unique startups and shutdowns, and creating a documentation routine enhances your ability to track pressure, temperatures, and operational tasks. These exercises mirror the requirements to maintain industry facilities.

There are two parts to our 4th Class Power Engineer Program, which include:

4TH CLASS POWER ENGINEER (PART B) – November 17, 2025 to December 12, 2025

4TH CLASS POWER ENGINEER (PART A) – May 25, 2026 to June 19, 2026

Each course costs $3795.95, which includes all textbooks and handouts. The 4th Class Power Engineering Program (Part A& Part B) are 160 training hours each and is accredited through the TSBC. Students will be required to complete homework assignments outside of class time.
