The 4th Class Power Engineer/Maintenance performs trades duties approaching the journeyman level in a variety of trades areas such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and welding. Performs maintenance and repair duties related to buildings and equipment and performs mechanical and electrical repairs to plant systems such as heating, air handling units. Operates, repairs and carries out preventative maintenance on the Air Handling Units, Mixing Boxes, VAVs, emergency power and other related equipment of the facility in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

4th Class Power Engineering Curriculum

The 4th Class Power Engineer (Part B) Program provides the technical knowledge and skills needed by individuals wanting to enter into the field of power engineering. Upon successful completion of the program, students are prepared to write the Technical Safety BC examination for an interprovincial 4th Class Power Engineer (Part B). This is the Second of two exams towards the 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate.

The tuition fee is $3,495.95, which includes all textbooks, supplies and taxes. Only 15 students will be accepted, so registering early to secure your spot is important.
